With all the excitement over Santa, sometimes the more sacred or spiritual aspects of Christmas can be overshadowed.
But several churches always plan wonderful drive-thru or walk-thru live Nativities that are open to the community.
Most of these events are free to the community. Some might require pre-registration.

Live Nativities in the Triangle
Walk Through Bethlehem takes place at Wake Forest Presbyterian Church, 12605 Capital Blvd, Wake Forest, North Carolina, on December 2nd to 4th, 2022. This popular event takes about 30 minutes to walk through. Guests often start lining up 45 to 60 minutes before the event.
Penny Road Church of the Nazarene, 8509 Penny Road, Raleigh, presenting a drive-thru live nativity on December 9th, 10th, and 11th, 2022. The free event features realistic scenes, live animals, music, treats, and crafts for kids.
Stillwater Ministry, at 1200 Cornwallis Road, Garner, North Carolina, is hosting a drive-thru Christmas celebration on December 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th, and 18th, 2022. The event includes Christmas lights and a wooden nativity display. Free trolley rides are available as well.
Christ's Sanctified Holy Church, at 9050 Strickland Road, Raleigh, is hosting a live nativity scene on December 10th, 2022. It will include a real camel, donkeys, goats, cow adn sheep. There will also be free hot cocoa and apple cider. You can either drive through Bethlehem or park and walk.
Saint Francis United Methodist Church, 2965 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary, is presenting a live nativity event on December 13th and 14th, 2022. This will be the church's 24th year of sharing the Christmas story through the nativity scene. It's outside and includes costumed biblical characters and live animals. Attendees will also enjoy Christmas music, hot chocolate, warm cider and cookies. There will also be a display of nativity scenes in the Gathering Space.
St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 4801 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, is hosting a live nativity on December 17th, 2022. The interactive, walking event will feature multiple scenes, with live actors, farm animals, and a sweet treat.
New Horizon Church, 100 Horizon Place, Durham, North Carolina, is presenting Journey to Bethlehem on December 17th and 18th, 2022. This drive-thru event features 7 stations, 40+ cast members in costume, live animals, and a booklet to help narrate the journey.
Soapstone United Methodist Church, 12837 Norwood Road, Raleigh, North Carolina, is presenting a live drive-through nativity, with music, on December 19th and 20th, 2022.
