Raleigh Parks and Oaks and Spokes hold frequent Learn to Ride events. Registration is required.
Volunteers will help participants gain a sense of balance and control on a bicycle, without training wheels, by using the balance bike method. A balance bike is a bike with the pedals removed, which allows riders to steady themselves using their feet.
Participants ages 5+ are welcome. A balance bike and helmet will be provided.
Riders are also welcome to bring their own helmet and bike. A bike mechanic will remove the training wheels and bike pedals. (These items will be restored on the bicycle.)
