Haitians of the Triangle and NC Haitian Women’s Coalition are sponsoring two special events for Haitian Flag Day.
Haitian Flag Day — The Evening Affair
On Friday, May 20th, 2022, there will be a special event, Haitian Flag Day — The Evening Affair, from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., at Gojo Hookah Lounge, 823 West Morgan Street, Durham.
It will be a night of Haitian music and good company. It’s for ages 21+. All are welcome, Haitian and non-Haitian. If you have it, show up with your red and blue or Haitian Flag Day gear. Drinks, hookah, and lite refreshments will be sold. $15-$20 in advance, and $25 at the door.
Haitian Flag Day Family Fun Day
Haitian Flag Day Celebration — Family Fun Day is taking place on Saturday, May 21st, 2022, from 2 to 6 p.m., at Cook Road Park, 602 Cook Road, Durham.
The event will feature games and activities for both adults and children. There will be multiple raffles, music, Haitian culture, and delicious Haitian food to purchase.
Tickets are $10 for ages 11+ and free for children 10 and under.
