The Friends of the Durham Library is hosting a Summer Reading Kickoff Book Sale on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Main Library, 300 N Roxboro Street, Durham, North Carolina. It will take place in the auditorium, during the Summer Reading Kickoff event.
You’ll find:
- Children’s books: a wide selection, $1-$3
- Adult fiction: general, mysteries, romance, sci-fi/fantasy/horror, short stories, and YA Hardcovers $5, Paperbacks $3

Can’t make it to the book sale? You can also shop donated books online. All proceeds of in-person and online book sales support the Durham County Library.
