The Annual Reptile and Amphibian Days will be going virtual this year. They’ll take place Monday, March 8th, to Saturday, March 13th, 2021.
The theme this year is salamanders!
There will be six days of programs about our favorite ectotherms, from crafts to lectures to close encounters of the virtual kind! This event is perfect for all ages — from the youngest tadpoles to the oldest tortoises.
Here are some of the programs that have been announced so far.
- Monday, March 8th, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Reptiles & Amphibians in my West Raleigh neighborhood
- Wednesday, March 10th, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Herps and Conservation
- Thursday, March 11th, 6 p.m. to 7 pm.: Why Salamanders Matter
- Friday, March 12th, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Make your own animals: Reptiles and amphibians
- Friday, March 12th, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Frog songs of NC
- Friday, March 12th, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.: That’s not a copperhead, either! Misidentification of NC snakes
- Saturday, March 13th, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Understanding the relationship between fire and herpetofauna
