If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about Bonsai, you’ll get the chance at the free Bonsai Expo at Sarah P. Duke Gardens, 420 Anderson St, in Durham, on Saturday, Saturday, July 6th, 2019, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, July 7th, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission is free, but parking charges apply.
The expo takes place at Doris Duke Center.
The Triangle Bonsai Society will display an amazing array of these carefully pruned plants in the Doris Duke Center.
This 2-day exhibit will include more than 40 bonsai created in multiple styles from a wide range of plant species, including maple, azalea, pine, elm, juniper, bald cypress, crabapple, ficus and more.
You will have the opportunity to learn the basic steps of creating a bonsai at daily demonstrations.
Free drop-in exhibit for all ages. Adult chaperone required.
