On April 1, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the public is invited to join Mrs. Juanita Akinleye, wife of North Carolina Central University (NCCU) Chancellor Dr. Johnson O. Akinleye; NCCU’s Office of Community Engagement and Service; and the Alzheimer’s Association for the 26th First Lady Walk and Health Fair.
Held at the L.T. Walker Physical Education and Recreation Complex, 617 Nelson Street, Durham, NC, on NCCU’s campus in Durham, the theme of this year’s event is ‘Health mind. Healthy body. Healthy life.’ The fun-filled morning will include a fundraising walk on the university’s trails followed by opportunities for free health screenings and services, food trucks and more!
