Durham Rescue Mission, 1201 East Main Street, Durham, North Carolina, is holding a Back-To-School Party on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. It’s free to attend. The event was announced on Facebook.

Doors open at 11 a.m. and the event begins at 12 p.m. All items are available while supplies last.

The event includes:

Backpack filled with school supplies (child must be in attendance)
Free hot dogs and BBQ
Free groceries
Free clothing giveaway
Grand price drawings including a 65″ UHD Smart TV, 2 Nintendo Switch consoles, 3 Chromebooks, bikes, and more!
