North Carolina Museum of Art, 2110 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh, is presenting a free event, Duke Energy Day: Celebrate the Harvest, on Sunday, September 30th, 2018, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Celebrate nature’s bounty as you discover agricultural celebrations from around the globe (including the Jewish festival Sukkot), use natural materials for hands-on art activities, and listen to music in the Museum Park.
Families of all ages welcome.
Food Drive: Help hungry North Carolina families. Bring a donation to contribute to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. View a list of most-needed items below.
Activities include:
- Hands-on art
- Harvest scavenger hunt
- Yummy story time (12:30 pm, 1 pm, 1:30 pm)
- Sukkah built by Temple Beth Or
- Seed swap with Wake County Extension Master Gardener Volunteers. Bring your own labeled seeds to contribute, or use seeds provided by the Museum.
