Shredding your sensitive documents is an important step to protect yourself from identify theft and fraud. It’s especially important to shred document that you have your social security number, credit card info or bank account information on them.
We maintain a list of free shredding events in the Triangle. The free shredding events tend to take place in April or May, and in November, but they can happen any time.
