Interactive art activities (and more) for Third Friday at Discover Durham

During Durham’s Third Friday celebration on Friday, October 18th, 2019, make sure to stop by Discover Durham (Visitor Info Center), 212 W. Main Street, Durham.

You can pick up venue maps for Third Friday events, and there will be plenty going on at the Visitor Info Center too. Discover Durham has partnered with Durham Beat, a local arts & culture publication, to bring you an interactive local art experience.

• Work with artist Mark Hanley to screen print your own Durham shirt or poster! You can create your print on the provided paper or bring in your own t-shirt and have it printed for free. Mark will have additional t-shirts and his own prints available for purchase.
• Paint a mini canvas with Leitner Studios. Founder & artist Justin Leitner will work with you to create a design. Or, for a small fee, he’ll have a pre-made Bull City stencil available for use.
• While you wait for your pieces to dry, explore the work of our other featured artists. Bull City Baubles will be showing off their beautiful wire-wrapped jewelry, and artists Ian Griffin and JoRose will be displaying various styles of artwork.
• Kick back and take in this experience all while enjoying some Pie Pushers Pizza and grooving to beats by FootRocket.
