
The 13th Annual Day of the Dead 5K takes place in Downtown Raleigh on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The event, presented by Centro Mexican Restaurant, celebrates tradition, community and diversity. It benefits Fox Road Boys & Girls Club (formerly Brentwood Boys & Girls Club.)
The event also includes art, food, music, dancing, local beer and costumes.
The race starts in front of Centro, at 106 S Wilmington Street, Raleigh, and goes through Historic Oakwood Cemetery and ends up back at Centro.

A highlight of the event will be the Dia de los Muertos altars, one on Wilmington Street and one in the cemetery. Everyone is invited to leave offerings of flowers and written messages in memory of their loved ones.
In addition, enjoy arts and crafts, face painting, performances, dancing and more.
All registered runners age 21+ will get a free Day of the Dead Trophy brew. All race participants receive a Tiff’s Treats cookie at the finish line.
The cost to register for the 5K:
- $40 through September 28, 2025
- $45 through October 25, 2025
