The Chapel Hill Soap Box Derby takes place Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 1 to 6 p.m., at Homestead Community Park, 100 Aquatic Drive, Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
There’s probably not enough time for you to put together a soap box derby to race (but follow the above link to register if you have one on hand!) There’s a fee to enter.
This event is free to attend as a spectator. Cheer on your favorite Soap Box Derby racer!
There will be prizes for the fastest car and most creative design.
