Capital Squares: Free introductory dance on July 22

The square dancing group, Capital Squares, is hosting a Square Dance Open House on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 7 to 8 p.m., at St. James United Methodist Church, 3808 St. James Church Road, Raleigh, North Carolina, in Carson Hall.

Please arrive 15 minutes early for registration.

This is an introductory dance with participation by new dancers along with experienced dancers. Learn Modern Western Square Dance, which is a series of dance moves by 8 people in a square and cued by a caller to music.

Dress is casual. Singles welcome. The introductory dance is free, and is $8 per person after that.
