Shopping local is best. However, if you like the convenience of shopping online for books, but you still want to support your local bookstore, check out bookshop.org.
At Bookstore.org you shop online for books and they’re shipped directly to you just like they would be from a certain large online retailer.
But the difference is that when you shop you select a local bookstore to support, and that store gets 30% of the list price of the book. If you don’t choose a local bookstore, the contribution will go to a profit pool that’s divided among all the participating bookstores. There’s no charge for a bookstore to participate.
There are several participating bookstores in the Triangle, including:
- Page 158 Books
- Dog-Eared Books
- Quail Ridge Books
- Blackbird Books and Coffee
- Golden Fig Books
- Epilogue Books
- Flyleaf Books
- McIntyre’s Books
- Purple Crow Books
- More
The bookstores don’t stock or ship the books. Bookshop.org does. You’re not limited to the inventory at the local bookstore. You can buy anything on Bookshop.org, and your chosen bookstore will receive the contribution.
You can also shop for stationery and gifts on bookshop.org.
Double-Check Before You Head Out!
We make every effort to make sure that everything on Triangle on the Cheap is 100% accurate.
However, sometimes things change without notice, and it’s also possible that we can make a mistake.
Please verify all deals and events with the venue or organizer before you go.
