Friends of Chapel Hill Public Library is holding its Big Book Sale from April 10 to 12, 2026. It takes place at Chapel Hill Public Library, 100 Library Drive Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
- Friday, April 10: 2 to 5:30 p.m. (Friends members only)
- Saturday, April 11: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Public)
- Sunday, April 12: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Bag Sale)
On Sunday, bring your own bag to fill for just $10.
The Friends Big Book Sale has thousands of great books and puzzles for all ages at bargain prices. It’s never too early to start thinking about Mother’s Day, graduation and summer reading!
Friday is for Friends members only. If you’re not a member, you can join or renew now or at the door and shop for book bargains before the sale opens to the public.
To promote a safe environment in the busy Library lobby and facilitate a positive shopping experience for everyone, customers are expected to comply with Guidelines for Book Dealers and Other Large Order Customers, including a limit on the number of containers that can be stored in the lobby and purchased on any one visit (although multiple visits are welcome).
All shoppers are encouraged to bring their own bags. Book dealers will be charged for extra boxes supplied by the Friends.
