
Back When It Was Rap is a celebration of the 50th anniversary of hip hop in North Carolina. The celebration includes several events taking place from June 18 to 25, 2023.
Tickets for individual events cost between $10 and $15, or you can get an all access pass for $50. For a limited time, an all access pass is only $30.

Join Em City at The Alamo for a nostalgic night of classic movies from the 80’s and 90’s with a twist. Krush Groove Movie Mix Nite is part of the Back When It Was Rap celebration, a tribute to the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.
The movie “mix” will be followed by the premiere of Em City’s latest animation, Don’t Call It A Comeback with special performance by the Down South Georgia Boy, Pastor Troy. Enjoy food and drinks right from your seat inside the theater. This will be a fun night of movies, music, animation and performances.
