Triangle Fermentation Festival is a food festival that teaches and celebrates all things fermented, including yogurt, sourdough, kombucha, beer, kimchi, and sauerkraut.
Presentations and workshops will cover what fermentation is and how to do it safely, a demo of making sourdough bread, a hands-on kombucha class, and a hands-on sauerkraut class.
Admission is free. There is a charge for workshops and demos.
It takes place Sunday October 13th, 2019, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Chatham Hill Winery, 8245 Chapel Hill Rd, Cary.
- Local chefs demonstrate how to make foods such as kimchi, kombucha, and sauerkraut.
- Hands-on workshops let participants make and take home their own fermented foods.
- Presentations are given by fermentation experts explaining what fermentation is, how to safely ferment foods, and providing tricks for successful fermenting.
- Booths host food and drink vendors with samples, businesses and artisans selling related fermentation items (crocks, jars, etc), an ask-the-expert booth, and a culture swap.
