Kids can try the sport of curling for free at Triangle Curling Club’s open house on Sunday, January 14th, 2018, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Triangle Curling Center is at 2310 So Hi Drive, Durham.
You might have seen curling in the Olympics. Players slide stones on ice with brooms toward a target area. It has some similarities to shuffleboard and boules.
At the open house, kids age 5 and up can give it a try and meet instructors of youth curling programs. All curling equipment will be provided. Kids age 5-8 will need to wear a helmet.
