The 36th Annual Storytelling Festival will take place on Saturday, September 29th, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Historic Oak View County Park, 4028 Carya Drive, Raleigh.
It’s free to attend and is for all ages.
Bring a blanket or chair.
There will also be live music, a wagon shuttle, activity tents and food vendors.
This event is presented by Wake County Public Libraries and Wake County Parks, Recreation and Open Space.

Willa Brigham
Willa is the two-time Emmy Award Winning Host of WRAL’s Television Show, Smart Start Kids, she’s an inspirational speaker, storyteller, writer, poet and performing artist.
Josh Goforth
Josh grew up steeped in the musical traditions of Madison County, N.C. He first started playing piano in church and never looked back. His musical talents have been featured in the film “Songcatcher” and PBS documentary “Folkways: The Fiddle.” His stories and his songs have traveled the world, and he has earned the title “Master Fiddler.”
Linda Gorham
An award-winning recording artist, Linda has performed internationally as a storyteller, speaker and workshop leader. Linda engages audiences with interactive folktales, distinctive myths, notably twisted fairy tales, riveting well-researched historical stories, and humorously heartfelt stories about family life.
Michael Reno Harrell
Michael is an award-winning songwriter, as well as a veteran storyteller and entertainer. Michael’s natural knack for storytelling in print, song and spoken word has earned him praise from not only the music community but from the literary and storytelling worlds.
