Schoolhouse of Wonder invites families to S’More Stories: A Live Storytelling Event, on Saturday, September 14th, 2019, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at West Point on the Eno, 5101 N. Roxboro Street, Durham.
This is a free event, but please let them know you’re coming by registering at the above link.
5:30 p.m.
All you need is a chair or blanket and a picnic supper. There will be a community potluck table set up for any dishes or treats you might want to share. After dinner, just relax or try your hand at one of Schoolhouse of Wonder’s camp activities, such as tomahawk-throwing, primitive fire-making, or whittling. Schoolhouse of Wonder will light a bonfire as the evening begins.
7:00 p.m.
Mayor Steve Schewel will kick off the main event, which boasts a great line up of performers featuring award-winning, nationally renowned master storyteller Ray Christian, along with other local storytellers.
8:30 p.m.
After all the tales are told, it’ll be time to gather around the bonfire for a bedtime snack of a freshly toasted s’more.
Participants will be entered to win a free week of Schoolhouse of Wonder camp, valued at $300.
Schoolhouse of Wonder is celebrating its 30th year of creating fun, nature-based outdoor adventures for kids.
