Whether you’re at home or traveling, you can get FREE admission to more than 1,000 venues in all 50 states during the Annual Smithsonian Museum Day on Sept. 21, 2019.
On the Museum Day website you can select which museum you’d like to visit and click on “get a ticket.”
Each ticket is good for FREE admission for two people at a participating museum.
You can choose only one museum per email address. So choose wisely and perhaps have your “plus one” choose a different museum. Once you “get a ticket” there are no take-backs.
Some of the participating museums are free every day, so it’s not a good strategy to use your one ticket on those museums. Get a ticket for a museum that normally charges admission, and then visit the free one too.
In the Triangle, and a little bit beyond, the following museums are participating. To find museums in other locations, search here.
