North Carolina Museum of History is offering a chance to bring home a living piece of history. On Saturday, April 26, 2205, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., stop by Bicentennial Plaza, 5 East Edenton Street, Raleigh, North Carolina, and you can take home a fig tree cutting from the museum’s landscape.
Learn about plant propagation, get expert care tips, and decorate your pot to make it uniquely yours. This is a fun, hands-on way to celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day, and it’s free!
No registration is required. Just stop by! Quantities of fig cuttings are limited, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
For local gardens and organizations interested in receiving a fig tree cutting, please contact alexa.scattaregia@dncr.nc.gov to inquire about availability.
