Prison Books Collective is a Carrboro and Durham based organization that distributes books to people incarcerated in North Carolina and Alabama prisons.
Through March 15th, 2018, bring a book to Ben & Jerry’s, 102 West Franklin Street, Chapel Hill, and get a free scoop of ice cream. Bring a dictionary and get two scoops. Only soft-cover dictionaries.
4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. every day through March 15th.
These are the kind of books they need most, but through March 15th, the organization is accepting donations of all books. Those books that prisons can’t use right now will be sold at a benefit sale in April.
