Orangetheory Fitness West Cary is officially opening and invites local residents to its grand opening event in Parkside Town Commons on Thursday, Sept. 1 from 5 to 8 p.m. The party will feature a DJ, refreshments, raffle prizes, workout demos, studio tours, other local businesses and more. Attendees can also meet the coaches, staff and owners, and take advantage of the final opportunity to secure discounted membership rates. The celebration is free to attend and open to the public. Classes start the next day.
The West Cary studio launch is part of a larger expansion of Orangetheory Fitness facilities in the Triangle area. Owners Kristie and Matt Shifflette, and Susan and Dustin Gross also recently acquired Orangetheory Fitness Holly Springs, which opened in April 2015. The West Cary and Holly Springs locations join the other Triangle area studios in Morrisville, North Raleigh, Chapel Hill and Wake Forest.
Orangetheory Fitness offers small group classes led by expert coaches seven days a week. Each workout is designed to provide results to people of any fitness level, age or size. The popular one-hour classes are based on the science of Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC) and include treadmills, rowers, free weights and TRX suspension training equipment to create intervals that increase participants’ strength, endurance and power. During the workouts, participants wear heart-rate monitors that track performance in real time on TV screens throughout the studio, so the coaches can guide members when to increase intensity and when to focus on active recovery. After each class, participants receive digital workout summaries via email to continue tracking progress and results.
Orangetheory Fitness West Cary is at 1204 Parkside Main St., Cary.
