A new special exhibit, Life Before Dinosaurs: The Permian Monsters, opens on Saturday, May 14th, 2022, at North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, 11 West Jones Street, Raleigh.
Step back in time 290 million years to the age before the dinosaurs. Explore vivid artwork, mounted skeletons, and life-sized models of a giant saber-toothed predator, saw-toothed shark, and many other bizarre creatures that dominated life on land and sea before the most devastating mass extinction the world has ever known. Offered in English and Spanish.
The exhibit will be on display from May 14th to September 4th, 2022, Tuesdays to Sundays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The cost of the special exhibit:
- Adults: $10
- Seniors (65+): $8
- Student (13+): $8
- Military, with ID: $8
- Children (3-12): $6
- Children 2 and younger: free
- Groups (of 10 or more, pre-registered): $5/person
