North Carolina Chamber Music Institute has two free concerts coming up in early 2023.
Chamber Music Treasures — Music by Black Composers

Faculty and students of the North Carolina Chamber Music Institute invite the public to join a celebration of the birthday of Martin Luther King when they perform music of Black composers at a free concert.
IMPACT Series II: Chamber Music Treasures — Music by Black Composers will be held Monday, January 16th, at 7:30 p.m., at Church of the Nativity, 8849 Ray Road, Raleigh.
Dr. Timothy Holley, cellist and associate professor of music at NC Central University, is curating the program which will include works by composers Samuel Coleridge Taylor, Florence Price, William Grant Still, and more.
There’s no charge for admission, but donations to support NCCMI scholarships are accepted.
Valentine’s Concert
Valentine’s Concert with Audio Description and Tactile Tour of Instruments takes place Sunday, February 12th, 2023, at 3 p.m., at Church of the Nativity, 8849 Ray Road, Raleigh.
This musical event for all ages features classical and popular selections performed by NC Chamber Music Institute young artists and faculty, including members of the North Carolina Symphony.
Before the concert there will be a tactile tour of instruments from 1:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
