IMPACT Series I: Romantic Overtures

Faculty from NCCMI and musicians from the NC Symphony perform on this concert featuring Anton Arensky’s Piano Trio in D minor and selections from Max Bruch’s Eight Pieces, Op. 83, as well as the premiere of NC native James Dargan’s new work, Four Part Find. Mr. Dargan was commissioned by NCCMI to compose the piece. Featured musicians are Emily Glover, violin; Jimmy Gilmore, clarinet; Elizabeth Beilman, cello; and Solomon Eichner, piano.
IMPACT Series II: Chamber Music Treasures- Music by Black Composers

Faculty Artists and Guest Musicians perform music by Black Composers in Honor of MLK, Jr. Day. Curated by Dr. Timothy Holley, NCCMI Faculty and student musicians will perform.
James Dargan will return to Raleigh to perform alongside NCCMI faculty in a concert that includes important and influential works by composers of color. Immediately prior to the concert (6:00pm), NCCMI will present, Conversation with the Composer! Anyone interested in how someone becomes a composer should plan to attend this interactive event. Students are especially encouraged to attend the free and informal event.
IMPACT Series III: Valentine’s Concert with Audio Description and Tactile Tour of Instruments
