The NC State 4-H Horse Show takes place from Wednesday, July 5th, 2017, through Sunday, July 9th, at the Gov. James B. Hunt Horse Complex at the State Fairgrounds, 1025 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raleigh.
It’s free for spectators.
Wednesday, July 5: 3 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Thursday, July 6: 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Friday, July 7: 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Saturday, July 8: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Sunday, July 9: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Of particular interest to spectators:
- The show kicks off Wednesday with the speed events (barrel racing, pole bending, etc).
- Friday night (around 5) are the opening ceremonies. There will be a drill team performance and a vaulting demonstration; followed by the Senior Versatility class where competitors show in 4 different events and change tack and clothes in the ring, between the events.
- Saturday night will be the costume classes and Junior Versatility.
- There will be several different food trucks on site and different vendors both inside and outside the main arena.
