Sandy Creek Park, 3510 Sandy Creek Dr, Durham, is a certified waystation for monarch butterflies as they migrate to Mexico. Celebrate at the 3rd Annual Monarch Festival on Saturday, October 14th, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a free event for the whole family. There will be free educational materials for all ages, free activities for kids, pollinator plant and milkweed seeds for sale, and plants available for donations.
