Meet the Heroes is an interactive Black History event for kids that takes place Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 12 to 5 p.m., at Edison Johnson Recreation Center, 500 West Murray Avenue, Durham, North Carolina.
Each February parents and children are invited to meet Heroes of Black History through actors, activities and crafts.
The event is designed like a living museum where you are free to travel and meet the historical figures and participate in a craft or STEM project based on the profession and achievements of each hero. You can listen to the hero’s personal story of triumph, perseverance, and success.
This year is all about transportation! Enjoy car racing, drone lessons, face painting, boat crafts and train activities.
