The Scrap Exchange, 2050 Chapel Hill Rd, Durham, is opening its new 18,000 square foot thrift shop on Thursday, December 14th. It will feature a large inventory, including a clothing section. It will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The new thrift store will be at 2020 Chapel Hill Road, Durham, just steps away from the rest of the Scrap Exchange.
On opening weekend, there will be special activities at the original location (2050 Chapel Hill Road.)
- Friday, December 15: FREE Make N Take all day
- Saturday, December 16: Rags to Riches Theater: The Gingerbread Boy. 3:30 p.m. ($10)
- Sunday, December 17: Scrap Gives Back: Support The Animal Protection Society of Durham and their important work in our community. The event goes on from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Make dog and cat toys. The APS of Durham will be there with cats looking for new homes from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Dog and cat food donations will be accepted.
