City of Raleigh
The City of Raleigh is opening up 4 parking decks for free parking during Hurricane Florence for those nervous about cars flooding.
They will be open for free from Thursday, September 13th, at noon, until Monday, September 17th, at 7 a.m.
At 7 a.m. they will start charging, although if that changes, they’ll update on Twitter.
The four parking garages are:
City Center / RedHat
429 S. Wilmington Street
Moore Square
233 S. Wilmington Street
Wilmington Street Station
117 S. Wilmington Street
Municipal Building
201 W. Morgan Street
Also, street meters will not be enforced, but you can still be ticketed if you park in front of a hydrant or too close to a driveway.

City of Durham
The City of Durham is also offering free, safe places to park. City operations are closing today, Thursday, September 13th, and will resume normal operations on Monday, September 17th.
During this time, parking will be free at on-street parking meters and in the City surface parking lots and garages.
