Stores and Malls
Grocery Stores
In general, stores remain open on Memorial Day.
Costco will be closed on Memorial Day. Some stores have limited hours on Memorial Day.
ABC Stores
ABC Stores throughout the state are closed on the following days:
- Sundays
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
However, counties and municipalities might close the stores on other days as well. On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, ABC Stores in the following locations are closed:
- Wake County
- Durham County
- Orange County
- Johnston County
Chatham County does not list MLK Day as a closure date.
