Hillyer Community Chorus will present a free Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 3 to 4:30 p.m., at Hillyer Memorial Christian Church, 718 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh.
The Choral Christmas Concert with the Hillyer Community Chorus and a chamber orchestra will be a heartwarming evening of music that captures the spirit of the season. This festive event will feature a beautiful mix of sacred and classical pieces, perfect for getting everyone in the holiday mood. The chorus, made up of local singers, will perform both well-loved Christmas carols and timeless classics like Vivaldi’s Gloria.
The chamber orchestra will add rich layers of sound with strings, woodwinds, and brass, bringing the music to life in a way that feels both grand and intimate. Expect to hear some favorite carols with a new twist like “Silent Night” and maybe even do some of your own singing at our reception post concert in the fellowship hall.
