By now you probably know that on April 10th, Durham’s 150th birthday, it was rocked by a terrible tragedy.

There were many injuries, and, worst, Kong Lee, owner of the coffee shop, Kaffeinate, died in the explosion, which also destroyed the coffee shop.
Many people want to help.
Discover Durham has compiled information on several fundraising campaigns.

They are:
Bull City Rebuilds: Created by Durham local Rebekah Miel, to help the families and businesses impacted by the explosion.
Durham Restaurant Workers Fund: Created by Bar Virgile co-owner Daniel Sartain to help the restaurant workers who are without income now.
Lee Family Support: Created by Durham local Callie Brauel to support the Lee family. This money will be used to help are for Kong’s elderly mother, who lived with him, for funeral expenses, and to give the family time to figure out another source of income until they can rebuild their coffee shop.
Fundraiser for Kaffeinate: Created by Jethro Libutan, a student at Durham School of the Arts, to help Kaffeinate rebuild its store.
