It will take place Sunday, December 29th, 2019, from 4:30 pm. to 6 pm., on the northwest corner of the courthouse circle, by Pittsboro Toys, which is at 15 Hillsboro Street, Pittsboro.
This is an inter-faith, inter-cultural celebration of winter traditions around light.
The evening will include:
- A Hanukkah book reading
- A presentation on the history and significance of Kwanzaa
- Jelly filled doughnuts (a Hanukkah tradition) made by Pittsboro’s The Phoenix Bakery specially for this celebration
- Lighting at dusk
Everyone is invited to bring your Menorah, Kinara, candle or whatever it is that symbolizes the light in your faith tradition or spiritual journey.
