Some local businesses are stepping up to try to assist federal employees who have been furloughed due to the government shutdown.
Pizzas and waffles don’t make up for the loss of income, but they might allow furloughed employees to at least enjoy a treat, courtesy of some caring local business owners.
Check out this state by state (and national list) of furlough freebies, put together by a Coast Guard spouse. Make sure to verify by following each link.
