Piedmont Laureate Nancy Peacock is offering a free writing workshop on Saturday, December 1st, 2018, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at Page 158 Books, 415 South Brooks Street, Wake Forest.
This free writing workshop is meant to jumpstart your work and get you in touch with your own personal muse. Using techniques learned from Natalie Goldberg (Writing Down the Bones) and Pat Schneider (Writing Alone and With Others) we will write using different prompts as our launch pads.
Peacock has been using this method since 2003 when she began her monthly free prompt writing workshop, which is still going strong after all these years and attracting more and more followers.
She is the author of the novels Life Without Water (a New York Times Notable Book), Home Across the Road, and The Life and Times of Persimmon Wilson (currently optioned for film by Lauri Maerov), as well as her memoir A Broom of One’s Own: Word on Writing, Housecleaning and Life.
