Two free music series will take place in downtown Raleigh this summer: Oak City 7, which features all North Carolina bands, and Pickin’ in the Plaza, which features the best traditional and bluegrass musicians from all over the nation. There will be seven concerts in each series, and will take place every Thursday, from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., on Fayetteville Street in City Plaza in Raleigh. While you’re there, also enjoy local beer, and dinner from food trucks.
