Samsara (2011, director Ron Fricke, 1 hour and 42 minutes, rated PG-13). It’ll be shown on Thursday, June 8th, 2017, at 8:30 p.m.
Come early because at 8 p.m., you can listen to a shortened (30-40 minute version) of the first audio program of the year from Audio Under the Stars, which was entitled “Metamorphosis: Tales of Transformation and Change.”

Through an intricate synthesis of images, and without a single word of dialogue, this intoxicating film takes us on a cross-continental journey through our modern world. This fascinating work by director Ron Fricke invites us to embrace our perplexing existence through portraits that range from horrific to divine. Screened outside on the Nasher Museum Café lawn. Co-presented with the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival.
