Meadowmont, in Chapel Hill, is presenting a free music series, Meadowmont Music Series.
The concerts are held in the village or at the gazebo. The shows in the village take place the first Friday of the month, April through September at 6 p.m. The two shows at the gazebo are on Saturdays at 6 p.m.

Cajammers is a North Carolina band that has been playing a highly danceable mix of Cajun, Zydeco, and swamp pop since 2012. Unique to the group is a trio of female fiddlers who adore sharing their love for Louisiana-inspired tunes with the audience. This energetic group will keep your toes tapping from beginning to end!

Jon Shain founded the Chapel Hill, NC folk-rock group, Flyin’ Mice and their spin-off group, WAKE, and toured with them from 1989-1998 . The band performed with acts such as David Grisman, Tony Rice Unit, Hot Tuna, and the Dixie Dregs, released four CDs, and played clubs, schools, and festivals up and down the East Coast, building a legion of fans. The last few years have seen Shain headlining listening rooms on the East Coast, in the Midwest, and in Europe, as well as opening shows for John Hiatt, Keb’ Mo’, Little Feat, and others. In 2019, Shain won first place in the Solo/Duo category of the International Blues Challenge, a prestigious competition that will undoubtedly bring him international fame! See him play for free while you still can!
