NCSU Professor Dr. Elliot Engel is presented a free lecture, Blackbeard: Pirate Enemy Number One, on Thursday, May 2nd, 2019, at 7 p.m., at Seby B. Jones Performing Arts Center at Louisburg College, 501 N. Main Street, Louisburg.
Dr. Engel will sift facts from fiction, revealing that Blackbeard was a far more complex and fascinating figure than his reputation as a cartoonish villain.
Admission is free.
There will be complimentary refreshments in the lobby after the lecture.
