Kids age 5-12 are invited to participate in a FREE biathlon on Saturday, April 9th, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Edison Johnson Aquatic Center, 600 West Murray Avenue in Durham. Pre-Registration is required. Call 919-560-4270.
This free event is about fun and exercise, not competition. Participants will not be timed. Kids will get to choose their swimming distance, between 25 and 500 yards, and can use a life jacket if needed. Then kids will walk/run between 2/3 a mile and 1.5 miles along the Ellerbe Creek Trail and through Rock Quarry Park.
Parents are allowed to swim and run/walk with their kids. An adult is required to run/walk with kids who are under 10.
