Basketball fans, Hoops and Hops FanFest is a free event that takes place on Thursday, March 17th, 2016, at 10 a.m. and Saturday, March 19th (exact time to be announced soon), 2.5 hours before the Men’s NCAA 1st and 2nd round sessions of games, at PNC Arena, 1400 Edwards Mill Road in Raleigh. It will close before tip-off but reopen soon thereafter for fans arriving for later games or who want to relax outside. Please note that although admission is free, parking is $20.
Here’s what’s going on in the four locations:
Hops House (tent): Located on our South Plaza, outside of our box office. Features adult brews, soft drinks, food, and big screen TVs to watch the games. Those under age 21 must be accompanied by an adult.
Game Watch: Located just outside of our box office, under the awning. Features a video wall for fans to watch other NCAA 1st and 2nd Round games. A sound system will also be set up for music.
Food Truck Brigade: Located next to Dail Plaza outside of Carter-Finley Stadium, and features many of the Triangle’s most loved food vendors.
Fan Activity Zone: Located on Dail Plaza outside of Carter-Finley Stadium and adjacent to the Food Truck Brigade. Features cornhole boards and basketball hoops for fans vying for bragging rights. Stop by the face painter to get your “Game Face” on!
