Triangle Land Conservancy is presenting on a FREE Earth Day Celebration for families at Horton Grove Nature Preserve, 7360 Jock Road, Bahama, in Durham County on Saturday, April 16th, 2016, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Although it’s free, registration is required.
There will be nature scavenger hunts, supplies for making leaf and bark rubbings, and a recycled planter craft table. Every child will go home with a planted seed.
This free event is ideal for families with children of all ages. Please bring a recycled jar, can, or plastic container to create your own planter.
Triangle Land Conservancy’s partner organizations like Learning Outside will have tables set up with children’s activities. While you’re at the preserve, you can also explore the interactive “That Makes Sense” children’s trail.
