Kidzu Presents: A Day Celebrating Karen Culture & Language is a free event on Sunday, June 5th, 2016, from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Kidzu Children’s Museum at University Place, 201 S Estes Drive, Chapel Hill.
Join Kidzu Children’s Museum for their “Growing Creativity” program, a multi-experience day to celebrate the culture and language of Chapel Hill’s Karen community. The Karen community is a group of refugees who have fled Burma (Myanmar), and settled in Chapel Hill to build productive new lives. Learn about the rich culture that these people have brought to our community, through a day of music, art, games, food and a bilingual children’s book written by student authors.
