Museum of Life + Science, at 433 West Murray Avenue in Durham, is an interactive science park on 84 acres. It includes a two-story science center, a large butterfly conservatory, and 60 species of live animals in its outdoor exhibits.
Admission is $21 for adults, $19 for seniors and military members, and $16 for kids age 3-12.
However, on regularly scheduled Durham Community Days, residents of Durham County can get in for free. Bring your ID showing residency. Up to five children per adult can get in for free. The schedule for community days is below, but make sure to check the museum’s website for any changes.
