The Foster Street Festival for Arts Entrepreneurship takes place in Downtown Durham on Saturday, September 14th, 2019, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Events take place in the Durham Central Park area, including Cecy’s Gallery, and CCB Plaza.
The festival includes
- Three open air markets
- Scavenger hunt with prizes
- Raffle for a commemorative Durham 150 bull statue
- Bulltown Strutters parade
- Food trucks
- Speaker panel on arts entrepreneurship
- Closing reception
Here’s the schedule:
- 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Durham Craft Market (Foster Street)
- 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM: Scavenger Hunt — learn about the artists and win a prize. Pick up supplies at the DCM, Cecy’s, or Artisan Market at 305
- 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM: Art Market Durham (Hunt Street)
- 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Free raffle all day to win a commemorative Durham 150 bull sculpture by Cricket Forge
- 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Historical Information on Display at Cecy’s Gallery (417 Foster St., Durham); Scavenger Hunt and Raffle info
- 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM: CCB Plaza celebrates the artists of The Artisan Market at 305
11:00 AM – 5:30 PM: Historical Information on Display at Artisan Market at 305 (305 E Chapel Hill St., Durham); Scavenger Hunt & Raffle info - 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Speaker Panel and Resources on Starting an Arts-based Business in Durham – at Cecy’s Gallery
- 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Closing Reception – at Cecy’s Gallery
