Free Ice from Rita’s Italian Ice for First Day of Spring

Celebrate the official beginning of spring with a free ice at Rita’s Ice. This is a 26-year tradition for Rita’s Ice. Last year they gave away almost one million cups of ice in a nine hour time period.
Free Tacos at Chronic Tacos Raleigh Grand Opening

Chronic Tacos, 9424 Falls of Neuse Rd, Raleigh
The first 75 guests in line will receive a free taco. The first 50 guests in line will receive free tacos for a year. There will also be free sampling and an amateur taco eating contest, as well as other festivities, like live music and face painting. If you share Chronic Taco’s Facebook event, and show your share at the grand opening you’ll get a $10 gift certificate to use on your next visit.

Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry’s

Ben & Jerry’s is scooping free ice cream, frozen yogurt and sorbet at participating locations. The first Free Cone Day was in 1979. Last year, the company scooped more than one million free cones.
